Back To The House

Bring the boats into the harbour
Sacred Earth and Beloved Angel
Sky is darkening, birds are gathering
Take the path back to the house

Bring the sheep down from the hilltop
To the sheltered, tree lined meadow
Hang the hoe inside the shed
Bang the boots and bring them in

Spring and summer, autumn, winter
All seasons in one room
You and I and all the shadows
Embrace as one

Bring the songs and words and pictures
Fold them up into a heart
Place the heart upon the water
Let the wind carry them home
